About 30 Israelis in need of life-saving transplant donors head to China every month for cheap transplant operations using organs retrieved from executed Chinese prisoners, Agence France Presse reported, citing the Maariv newspaper. The paper quoted one Israeli official as saying that the operations costs 30% less than in Colombia and the transplanted organs are of "excellent quality and the follow-up medical care among the best in the world".
