[photopress:Getronics_1.gif,full,alignright]Getronics, the ICT service provider, together with Accenture, Atos Origin and KPN, have each signed seven-year contracts worth a total of EUR750 million with Dutch financial services firm ING. They will jointly supply workplace services (installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers and telephones) to 53,000 ING employees in Europe. Under the agreement, 430 ING workers in the Netherlands and Belgium will transfer to Getronics, Atos Origin and KPN.
What’s the link with China? Dutch-based Getronics is aiming to develop the workspace management service in China’s finance sector, providing services to foreign banks and insurance companies. It has dual headquarters in Shanghai and Hong Kong, with offices in Beijing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macau, Taipei and Xiamen.
