In 2009, the company opened its sixth and seventh self-owned logistics centres in Mainland China – the Kerry Chengdu Logistics Centre in Sichuan Province and the Fuzhou Kerry Logistics Centre in Fujian Province.
In December 2009, a member of Taiwan’s Want Want Group leased the entire Fuzhou Kerry Logistics Centre through Kerry Logistics’ member company, T.Join Transportation’s Fuzhou subsidiary.
Want Want has already completed the move-in of its cargo. The logistics operations will be managed by T.Join.
This year, Daimler Northeast Asia Parts Trading & Services (DPTS) appointed Kerry Logistics to manage the licence attainment of its imported spare parts for vehicles in China.
Eye for Transport reports that as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Northeast Asia, DPTS is responsible for spare parts logistics for all Daimler products in Mainland China.
