Kerry to build new China power plant

Kerry Properties announced yesterday that Kerry Electricity Jiangxi, a wholly owned subsidiary, had signed a HK$4.71 billion (US$603.84 million) joint-venture agreement to build and operate a 2×600 MW coal-fired power plant in Jiangxi province. Kerry Electricity will take a 33% stake in the venture, with the remaining shareholding held by three mainland partners.
