Chinese Premier Li Keqiang addressed concerns about India’s trade deficit with China during a state visit Tuesday, pledging to take steps to reduce it, The Wall Street Journal reported. “We understand Indian concerns on trade imbalance,” he said, speaking at a trade conference in New Delhi. “The Chinese side is also willing to provide facilitation to more Indian products to access Chinese markets.” India’s trade deficit with China is US$40 billion, having risen from US$1 billion in 2002. The two countries are seeking to grow bilateral trade to US$100 billion by 2015.
