He said when meeting representatives attending a conference held by an association for administrative affairs, "We should continue to stick to the principle of frugality in doing everything. People endow us with power…we should consider our power as trust from the people."
Wen Jiabao said, "We should be conscious that every penny and every piece of paper we use come from the people’s labor."
China View reported that Wen stressed reform within government organs to improve administrative regulations in terms of financial affairs, the use of houses and vehicles, government procurement and reception in a bid to make the process more transparent.
