Lu Bin, Peking University professor, on buildings torn down after a short life span

Lu Bin, department head of the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences at Peking University, on the many buildings torn down shortly after construction:
"The reason for this situation is just for GDP growth. Some provinces even choose to build, then dismantle, then rebuild again. After this process, the GDP of their city will increase directly."
