Manned moon mission postponed

Financial considerations have forced a delay in China's plans for a manned moon mission, state media reported citing a top space program official. Wang Yongzhi, architect of China's first manned space launch in 2003, said China would still build its own manned space station sometime around 2020. Wang added that China would engage in a lunar orbiting program which would not involve landing on the moon.
