Nu Skin Enterprises (NUS.NYSE), a US-based seller of skin-care products currently under investigation by the Chinese government, said in a letter to customers on Tuesday that it would continue selling its merchandise in China while conducting an internal review of its employee and sales-force practices, Bloomberg reported. Last week, state-run People’s Daily reported that Nu Skin was running a “suspected illegal pyramid scheme,” causing the company’s shares to plunge. CEO M. Truman Hunt, who oversaw a sevenfold gain in the company’s shares in the past seven years, said in an interview last week that Nu Skin is “absolutely not a pyramid scheme.”
