Paliburg unveils big plans for capital

Paliburg Holdings intends to construct the tallest skyscraper in Beijing as it seeks new opportunities on the mainland, the South China Morning Post reported. This means scrapping plans for a 200 meter twin-tower residential-hotel-office complex in favor of a 300 meter high version that could cost US$645 million. The complex, which will be completed no earlier than in 2009, would cover two million square feet of office and hotel space, 1.26 million square feet of commercial space and 750,000 square feet for residential purposes. Paliburg owns a 59% stake in the project jointly with its hotel arm Regal Hotels International Holdings.
