Parkson to double China presence

Parkson said it will double its current number of retail outlets in China to about 70 by 2008. The Malaysia-based department store operator said it will expand in China by both building new outlets and acquiring existing ones. The company plans to expand from 35 stores to 48 by the end of 2004. This year's expansion plans include second-tier cities such as Tianjin, Changchun Shenyang, Kunming, Xi�an and Dalian.
