Authorities said more than 6,000 police and army troops would be deployed to oversee security at Beijing's Workers' Stadium for the Asian Cup final between China and Japan. Not taking any chances, organizers said Chinese and Japanese would be seated separately. With all but a few RMB 2000 tickets sold, scalpers were reported out in force selling RMB 400 tickets for RMB 700 and RMB 800 tickets for RMB 1,300. After China's foreign ministry complained, the Japanese embassy ordered the recall of a Japanese football association brochure containing a map that had the mainland and Taiwan rendered in different colors.
