PLA to vet 4,000 officers in graft probe

The People's Liberation Army will audit the finances of more than 4,000 senior officers including at least 100 generals over the next five years to stem PLA corruption, reported the South China Morning Post. General Liao Xilong, director of the PLA's General Logistics Department, told Xinhua news agency the audits would target divisional commanders and above who were responsible for finance and/or infrastructure projects. The auditing campaign would also cover major war preparation projects, research and the production of military equipment.
