US Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived in Beijing for talks with Chinese leaders aimed at urging China to increase pressure on North Korea to revive stalled talks on its nuclear program. China is North Korea's biggest benefactor and as such is seen as the country with the most influence over the reclusive state. The North Koreans boycotted the last round of six-party talks in September. Powell traveled to Beijing from Tokyo where he discussed the issue with Japanese leaders.
