Power watchdog to expand

The State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) announced plans to establish six branches around China. The branches will be located in Shenyang, Liaoning province; Xi�an, Shaanxi province; Wuhan, Hubei province; Guangzhou, Guangdong province; and the municipalities of Shanghai and Beijing. They will be directly under the control of SERC and will be responsible for supervision of power production and SERC marketing activities in their respective areas.
