Domestic companies raised Yn64bn from share sales in the first 11 months of 2002, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission. This amount was 10 per cent less than in the same period of 2001. Revenue from share transactions sank 62 per cent to Yn10.5bn. The decline was a result of a drop in share prices, which fell by around 14 per cent over the course of the year.
