Property deals in big cities up 50% in February

beijing-residential-property Last month, China saw real estate transaction area in the county’s 30 major cities sharply increase more than 50% in total from a month earlier, sources reported.

In Beijing, the transaction volume of new residential properties reached 8,282 units in the second month of this year, surging 25% from a month earlier.

Shanghai recorded apartment transaction area of 787,600 square meters in February, an increase of 61% or 299,500 square meters from the previous month. In February, the city’s average price for residential properties was RMB 12,141 per square meter, down 13.94% from a month earlier.
