QFII funds post modest rises in July

Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) funds made an average return of 0.74% in July, slightly outperforming the benchmark CSI 300 Index, but falling behind some domestic funds, Reuters reported. Nineteen QFII funds saw assets rise 11.4% to US$7.374 billion as markets recovered from falls posted in June. Domestic equity funds performed more strongly, rising an average of 2.04%. Yuan bond funds rose 0.35% and money market funds were up by 0.25%. However, equity funds posted the worst performance for the first seven months of the year, down 42.22%.
