Regal Hotel for Shandong

Regal Hotels and Bosideng Holdings have entered into a hotel management agreement for the new Regal Dezhou, Shandong Province.

The new name will be the Regal Kangbo and it should open towards the end of 2010. The illustration is of the interior of the Regal Shanghai which gives an idea of the style of the hotel.

It will be 100-meters high with 22-storey and be diamond-shaped. The Regal Kangbo Hotel will be the highest building in the city and the first five-star international hotel in Dezhou. It will, but of course, be a MICE hotel, but it seems to have all the usual additions including an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, spa and foot massage rooms.

Regal Kangbo Hotel will be in the Dezhou Economic Development Zone (DEDZ) and will be near the Municipal Government Office Tower, Central Plaza, DEDZ Office Tower,  Municipal Park and a new mega shopping centre which is under construction.

It will be just 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre and around one hour and 15 minutes’ away from Jinan International Airport.
Bosideng , owner of the hotel, is the largest down apparel company in Asia with over 8,000 retail outlets covering major cities across China.
Hotels reports that Regal provides management services to five hotels in Hong Kong and six hotels in China or, looking it another way, about 6,000 guestrooms. It plans to increase its hotel portfolio to more than 20 managed or owned hotels in first and second tier cities of China within the next few years.
