Ride sharing apps Lyft, Didi Kuaidi form alliance to battle Uber

Chinese ride-sharing app Didi Kuaidi and San Francisco startup Lyft have announced they have formed an alliance allowing users of each app to hail rides from drivers of the other, effectively creating an international ride-hailing service to rival Uber Technology’s infamous service, The Wall Street Journal reported. Each service will collect payment from its own users in their native currency so passengers can avoid the hassle of paying for rides in foreign money. Didi also said it has invested US$100 million in Lyft.
