Rohm's new $71.8 IC production line in Tianjin

Rohm Semiconductor is investing an additional $1.8 million in a large scale IC production line in Tianjin.  Rohm China has invested in total $319 million and is the largest business in the Micro-electronics Industrial Park of TEDA.

Rohm has set up two production bases in Tianjin and Dalian, three sales branches and ten representative offices. The Tianjin facility occupies land area of 110,000 square meters.

Rohm now employs 1,900 staff in the Micro-electronics Park and had an output value of RMB1.4 billion in 2007 and RMB1.16 billion in the first eleven months of this year.
