Rosedale acquires Harbour Plaza

Hong Kong-based Rosedale Group has acquired the four-star Harbour Plaza Beijing, now known as Rosedale Hotel & Suites Beijing. It has become the third Rosedale hotel, along with the Best Western Rosedale on the Park Hong Kong and the Rosedale Hotel & Suites Guangzhou. It will be managed by Raymond Yip, who will transfer from Hong Kong. Standard room rates at the Beijing property have been discounted to US$68 for an overnight stay until March 15.

A new five-star hotel is being constructed in Beijing at Junefield Plaza, near Tiananmen Square. The Regent International Hotels chain will manage the 300-room property, which will also include 77 serviced apartments. It is scheduled to open in spring 2004.
