Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov hinted that China and Russia may take part in future drills as the countries' unprecedented joint military exercises wrapped up with the staging of a mock airborne attack, AFP reported. The exercises, which have involved nearly 10,000 armed forces personnel, have been seen as an opportunity for Russia to showcase arms it hopes to sell to China. Beijing is believed to be keen on boosting its power in the air and improve its chances of winning a war in the Taiwan Straits.
