Shui On Group Chairman Vincent Lo Hong-sui told the South China Morning Post his board would decide by mid-July if the group's Shui On Land mainland subsidiary would proceed with a massive US$1.2 billion development project involving the removal of 12,000 households and dozens of factories over 130 hectares in central Chonqing. The 10-year project calls for a man-made lake, exhibition and entertainment facilities, hotels, office towers topped by a 398-meter skyscraper, and villas.
