Siemens announced it plans to invest another one billion euros (US$1.2 billion) into China. The investment will help fund a nationwide expansion by the German industrial conglomerate in which it will more than double its number of regional offices from 28 to 60. Siemens� mobile phone unit IC Mobile will use some of the new investment to increase its annual production capacity at its Shanghai facility from 14 million units to 20 million. The new investment will also fund construction of Siemens� new China headquarters compound in Beijing.
