Slower mobile subscriber growth

With subscriber growth slowing, China Unicom signed up 8.1% more new customers in August than in July, adding 1.58 million new mobile users to its GSM and CDMA networks. That data showed China's second largest mobile company growing 1.6% month on month, its slowest rate in the last year. China Mobile signed up 3.03 million new users, 4.9% more than in July, but the pace of new growth continued to decline month on month.
