SMIC to make chips for cellular chip giant TI

Leading contract chip maker Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp, which just opened its new facility for making large plate 300 mm wafers, said it will produce high-end 90-nanometre semiconductors for Texas Instruments, the world's top mobile phone chip supplier. Test samples will be delivered in next year's first quarter.
