Spanish and Chinese companies will sign 14 business deals worth a total of RMB23.32 billion (EUR3 billion) during this week’s visit from Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed official with the Spanish delegation. Rajoy, who is set to meet top Chinese leaders including Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang, addressed a gathering of business people from both countries Thursday, urging investment in Spain. Companies that took part in the meetings included Banco Santander (SAN.NYSE, SAN.BME), Spain’s largest bank, Inditex (ITX.BME), owner of global fashion chain Zara, and Alibaba Group Holdings (BABA.NYSE).
