Students shun Japanese firms

Chinese college student view Japanese companies
as unattractive employers, according
to a survey by Chinese online job information
site ChinaHR.com. Matsushita in 32nd
position was the most popular Japanese company,
followed by Toyota in 46th place. Lack
of good training programmes and opportunities
to advance skills were said to be the main
reason for the low rating of Japanese firms.

Chinese and US companies were the most
attractive employers. The most popular five
companies were Haier, IBM, Microsoft,
Legend and Proctor & Gamble. TCL, China
Telecom, Intel, Nokia and Motorola were
also highly placed.
