Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties and electronics retailer Suning Commerce Group have signed a cooperation deal in which the latter will open 40 stores at Wanda Plaza locations owned by the former before the end of the year, with more to come, Reuters reported. The move will help provide a large commercial tenant for Wanda, which plans to raise the number of plazas in China to 135 from more than 100 now by year’s end. But Dalian Wanda Group has begun exiting some traditional businesses as it diversifies to become a services-led conglomerate, and it expects services revenue and profit to surpass property for the first time next year.
