A strike at a supplier in Guangdong owned by Denso (6902.TYO) has halted production at an assembly plant owned by Toyota Motor (7203.TYO), Reuters reported. The Toyota factory, which produces models including Toyota’s flagship Camry sedan, stopped production Tuesday morning. A Toyota spokesperson said production would be halted through today’s day shift, and that no decision had been made regarding the night shift. Denso said it had not reached an agreement with workers at its plant, who have asked for better pay and benefits. Toyota earlier said it had resolved labor disputes at a factory in Tianjin, and would restart production there.
