China Eastern is well aware of this and has now signed to use the online payment platform Tenpay from Tencent.
The two companies will cooperate to provide a joint ticket platform, and the distribution and settlement of business travel services.
Hospitality and Tourism Industry News reports that Tenpay will be the first third-party payment company to cooperate with China Eastern. Tenpay has already established cooperation agreements with China Southern, Shenzhen Airlines, Spring Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Shandong Airlines.
Through Tenpay’s online payment channels of nearly 30 domestic banks, China Eastern will reduce its operating cost of online marketing.
