TOEFL, standing for Test of English as Foreign Language, is a must for students who wish to study in universities of the United States. 18 test rooms were added at the beginning of this year. They are located in Chongqing, Harbin, Nanning, Shijiazhuang, Jinan, Kunming, Lanzhou, Nanchang, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Changsha, Taiyuan, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Qingdao and Urumqi.
All the test rooms are up and running this month which means TOEFL tests are available in almost all the regional capitals in China. It is estimated that 70,000 Chinese take the TOEFL test each year which is about 10% of the total examinees in the world.
