Top SOE jobs advertised abroad
The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has placed advertisements in the overseas editions of Chinese newspapers for a number of top positions at major state-owned firms. The posts are deputy managers and managers at China United Telecommunications, deputy managers at China Aluminum and China National Foreign Trade Transportation (Group), and chief accountants for the State Development Investment Corp, China General Technology Group (Holding) and China Energy Conservation Investment Corp. Candidates must be Chinese nationals, fluent in Mandarin and no older than 50.
A commission spokesman said the campaign was in its pilot stage and could be expanded to fill positions at 140 state-owned companies and another 50 firms directly supervised by the State Council.
