China's intelligence services spend more time spying on the US than any of their foreign counterparts in a bid to get their hands on advanced technology, according to Joel Brenner, the new head of the Office of National Counterintelligence Executive. Brenner made the comments to the Washington Times in an article published Tuesday. He noted that the "technology bleed to China, among others, is a very serious problem", with intelligence services often acquiring material before it has been fully developed. Brenner's office is currently assessing the damage created by Katrina Leung, a Los Angeles businesswoman and FBI informant who the US claims was a "classic honey trap " spy for Beijing.
