The US exported more soybeans to China in February than it did the year before, the first annual increase since May 2018, according to US trade data, said the Financial Times.
The data showed that the US shipped 2.1 million tons of soybeans to China in February, 5,900 tons more than in February 2018.
Soybeans were traditionally the largest US agricultural export to China, with sales of more than 30 million tons per year. The shipments dropped to 8.3 million tons in 2018 after China imposed a 25% tariff on soybeans last July.
