Zhejiang Geely-owned (0175.HKG) Volvo Car Group will attempt to export a midsize sedan made in China to the United States this year, Reuters reported, citing unnamed executives at Geely. The move would Global automakers have yet to ship vehicles made in China to the US market in any significant numbers to date, and efforts by Chinese automakers to export vehicles to the States have foundered. Volvo has also begun weighing the possibility of building a vehicle factory in the US, the executives said.
