Water delegation to visit US

A delegation of up to a dozen Chinese officials and executives from the water industry are to visit America on a two-week trip organised by the US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers. The delegation from the Chinese state-owned company in charge of the middle of three projects designed to transfer water from southern to northern China will visit US manufacturers and California water projects similar to their own. The association says that US companies could supply as much as 10 per cent of the equipment needed for the project, estimated at US$1.61bn.
