$120 billion for railways

Liu Zhijun, minister of railways has stated China’s Ministry of Railways will invest $120.6 billion in railway fixed assets in 2010.

New China railway engineThe ministry will invest just over $102 million in railway construction this year according to Liu Zhijun, minister of railways.
 
China invested $87.8 billion in railway construction in 2009, up 79% from a year earlier.
 
CargoNews Asia said the country’s railways will total more than 90,000 kilometers by the end of 2010. It is beyond debate the fastest and most well financed railway expansion in history.
