In July 2006, the Administrative Commission of Wuhan East Lake Development Zone and Dalian Software Park invested jointly in building Wuhan Optics Valley Software Park.
Optics Valley Software Park Stage 1 is situated at Wuhan Optics Valley Heart Guanshanyilu Road, covering more than 600mu land and a total construction area of 600,000 square meters.
Now more than 60 enterprises have a presence there including representatives of the world’s top 500 enterprises.

Business Radar reports that Stage 2, which is situated south of Jiufeng Hill Wuhan Science and Technology New Town Center has already started construction.
Its planning area is 9 square kilometers and its total construction area is 4 million square meters. The end aim is to have a ‘Green Optics Valley’ in Wuhan.
