ABC listing delayed

Agricultural Bank of China's (ABC) listing, as well as a planned capital injection from Central Huijin Corp, will likely be postponed until next year, a source at the bank told CBN (in Chinese). According to the source, an ongoing program focused on developing the country's agricultural system is taking precedence over the bank's public debut, which was originally planned for later this year. ABC executives are currently conducting research related to the bank's market position, business range, system designation, financial products, and mid-term and long-term strategy in the agricultural sector, said the source. While the bank is the last of China's "big four" to go public, the scheme is considered the higher priority given ABC's special status as an agriculture-oriented bank.
