ADB Approves Grant For Power Pricing

The
Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a US$500,000 technical assistance grant for
China to develop a strategy for power pricing that optimizes the available power capacity.
Primary issues which will need to be resolved include affordability and environmental
impacts.

The Chinese government will add US$200,000 to the ADB's contribution.
The technical assistance project is projected to finish around October 2004.
