After KMT mainland visit, PFP takes its turn

Two days after KMT Leader Lien Chan's historic mainland visit, James Soong, the leader of People First Party, Taiwan's second largest opposition party, arrived in the Mainland with hopes of building what he called a "bridge of trust". Coming at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Soong stressed the PFP had opposed Taiwan independence since its founding. He is scheduled to meet with Hu next week in Beijing.
