Air China merger completed

Having completed its merger with China southwest Airlines and China National Aviation Corp in October, Air China plans to spend about US$600m to buy 15 new planes from Boeing of the US and Airbus of Europe, Beijing Youth Daily said. After the merger, Air China had 118 planes serving 307 routes. It expects to expand its fleet to more than 200 aircraft by 2010.
