Eventually scenes like this check-in counter will be things of the past. Online check-in will be available for every airline at every airport.
Following the launch of the online check-in service on its Chinese website for flights departing from London and Stockholm international airports, Air China has now launched the same service on the company’s UK and Sweden-based websites.
At the end of April it was enabled from the UK website for Air China-operated flights departing from London Heathrow and is to be followed by Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and the Swedish website in May.
ETN reports that from 14:00 one day before departure time until three hours before departure time, passengers can log on to the official local website to check-in online, select their favorite seats, and print their boarding pass on plain A4 paper. Once at the airport, travelers can check-in their baggage at the dedicated check-in counters.
