European commercial aircraft builder Airbus has said it hasn’t been told of any desire on the part of Chinese airlines to cancel or delay deliveries of aircraft.
Airbus had more than 430 unfilled aircraft orders from Chinese airlines at the end of November and more than 450 Airbus aircraft are currently in service in China.
The European plane builder has a market share in China of more than 50%.
An Airbus official said, ‘We are committed to our long-term partnership with China through the A320 final assembly line and our engineering and training centers.’
Airbus recorded 122 aircraft cancellations over the first 11 months of this year, including 65 from Skybus Airlines, a bankrupt U.S.-based carrier.
