Alumina price rises

Aluminum Corp of China raised its alumina price by 4.8% to RMB 3,930 a tonne, an increase officials laid to higher import prices, which topped US$4,050 a tonne, delivered at mainland ports. The price rise was also blamed on shipping delays caused by hurricane Ivan on shipments from Jamaica.
