Avoiding terminal confusion

Hongqiao International Airport is reminding passengers to check which terminal they should go to after its new terminal opens on March 16.

In the rush to fly it is very easy to go to a wrong terminal. By March 16 most airlines will have switched to the new terminal at Hongqiao International Airport .

Only one company, Spring Airlines, will stay in the old terminal as well as chartered flights to Japan and South Korea, the airport operator said.

There will be free shuttle buses between the two terminals in case passengers go to the wrong one. The journey will take 15 to 20 minutes with five-minute intervals between buses.

Shanghai Daily  reports the reminder was issued after it was found that some airport staff were still not fully prepared for the opening.
