Baidu revenue up 48% in Q4 2014

Baidu announced its revenues increased 48% in the fourth quarter off the back of improved marketing revenue, The Wall Street Journal reported. However, the outlook for the current quarter seems less positive, with the company saying revenue growth is expected to slow due to the timing of the upcoming Spring Festival holiday. During this period users will primarily be searching on their mobile device, a less lucrative area for Baidu, and the lateness of the festival gives little time for a rebound in business before the end of the quarter.
