Wu Guanzheng, China's �disciplinary chief�, said disciplinary oversight would be strengthened to ensure lawful administration of government business and the integrity of government officials. Wu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said the current crackdown on abuse of power and corruption was equally a task for local disciplinary inspection and supervision departments.
